For years now, I have donated 100% of profits from calendar sales to a cause that my heart is drawn to for the year. Each year, we have raised thousands of dollars with these calendars, brimming with my art.
This year has been a big one in my life. Last November, my husband and I welcomed our first foster child placement, a sweet baby girl! She has been with us for almost a year now, and our life will never be the same. Often for the calendar fundraiser, I choose a non-profit that holds personal meaning to me. This year is no different. The more we have ventured into the deep and wide world of foster care, the more we have seen the broken things of the world. One of those things is the reality of placement day for a foster child. Did you know that in many cases, foster kids must wait for hours, even days in the DCS offices on removal day? This year, we are partnering with a dynamite organization that saw this great gap in a child's placement story, and asked a big question: What if there was a home? What if kids got to go to a home while waiting for the family that said yes to fostering them? What if they could get a bath, brand new jammies, and play with fun toys or video games? What if they could choose any snack they want? What if there was a home? The Isaiah 117 House exists for a three fold mission :

- • Ease the transition for foster families
